The Camel Pub Ban Chang
The Camel Pub Ban Chang is a pub, restaurant and guesthouse and is the longest established bar on the Ban Chang “Strip”. It is also the largest. It opened around 14 years ago and remains in its original location today.
The bar itself is based on an English Style Pub with a separate restaurant area. Inside the bar features two pool tables and even a dartboard if you fancy a game of “arrows”. There are several large, state of the art, TVs showing all the major sporting events and news updates.
The bar has the largest selection of imported beers in the area, some on draught. Along with all the usual local beers and a wide choice of spirits, ciders and wines.
There is a large outside seating zone where you can sit and watch the world go by with a cold beer and your food.
The Camel is widely regarded as their “local” by many of the towns expats.
The Camel is renowned for its restaurant and food. We have a large and well priced menu which is available from 7am to 11pm every day. You can eat in the bar, in our designated restaurant area or outside. The menu it extensive ranging from breakfasts to snacks, pies, main dishes, curries, grills, pizzas and traditional roasts.
There is a full Thai menu to keep Teelak happy!

The Camel Guesthouse offers sixteen (16) good quality rooms for rent on a daily or long term basis. Rooms are currently just 550 Baht per night with good discounts for long term stays. All rooms feature

The Village Shop
The Camel Village shop is located next door to the pub with its own entrance plus one inside the restaurant area of the bar. It opened in 2011 with the purpose to bring a little bit of home into the life’s of their many ex pat customers.
The shop’s stock list includes a range of sauces, ie HP, Heinz Ketchup, Mint and Apple sauces to enhance your meals and little luxuries such as Cadbury’s Chocolate and Kettle Crisps. The fresh and frozen list includes Steaks from Australia, Pork chops, Sausages and Bacon, Cornish Pasties, Cold cuts and Cheeses made locally by English Cheese makers plus Campbells Soups etc. There is also a complete list of Pies available – all cooked on the premises.
